Tren de Aragua suspected of destroying Colorado AirBnb
Exclusive: “Airbnb Nightmare” – Gangster’s Party Trashes Rental Property
Colorado’s picturesque Evergreen mountains were the site of a shocking event: an Airbnb property was ravaged by a suspected Tren de Aragua (TdA) gang party, leaving $16,000 in damages and a trail of destruction. The owner, Karen Martiz, was left horrified and heartbroken.
“I Never Expected This”: Owner’s Nightmare
Martiz, a seasoned Airbnb host, was stunned when she arrived at the rental property to find it in shambles. “I have put all my energy and love into this property to make it beautiful for my guests. It’s a beautiful place. Everybody loved it,” she shared with Fox News. “I couldn’t believe it. This was the first time that I showed up here and my house was completely destroyed.”
Gang-Related Vandalism
The TdA gang, known for its violent crimes in the US, including in Aurora, Colorado, left behind a trail of destruction. Cops suspect that 80 to 100 partygoers, believed to be TdA members, trashed the property, leaving cigarette butts, gum, and hundreds of empty bottles and drug paraphernalia.
Trump Takes Action
The issue caught the attention of former President Donald Trump, who visited Aurora earlier this month, announcing plans to use a 226-year-old law to dismantle and deport TdA members. “I will rescue Aurora and every town that has been invaded and conquered,” Trump said. “These are stone-cold killers.”
A Message from the Owner
Martiz echoed Trump’s concerns, emphasis on the gravity of the situation:
This is very real and this should be taken very seriously. These people are not here to do good. They have nothing to lose. They don’t care. They’re just coming in, destroying properties, people’s lives like nothing. Something needs to happen… This needs to stop. 100%, as soon as possible.
