Police received a call from a concerned property manager at an Airbnb in the 4400 block of West Pine Boulevard. The manager had noticed an open door on the third floor, and initially thought a guest had arrived early. But after confirming with the guest that they weren’t there, they contacted the authorities. The officers arrived and announced their presence, only to find the door lock and a window open! ๐
The Suspicious Sighting
A witness reported seeing someone jump from the window and run north through the alley behind the building. Cops gave chase and located the suspect, who claimed he had been inside the building before and knew how to get in. He also mentioned that the person staying at the Airbnb invited him in. ๐ค

Inside the Airbnb, police found the suspect’s belongings, including a backpack containing an 18-piece smart tool, wire strippers, pliers, screwdriver, flashlight, and a saw blade. These items are commonly used for… well, we won’t say anything more about that. ๐
