Teenagers treated in hospital after AirBnB balcony collapse during house party on NSW South Coast

🚨 Multiple Partygoers Injured As Balcony Collapses in NSW’s Jervis Bay! 🏠💥

Breaking News

Emergency services rushed to a holiday rental in Jervis Bay, New South Wales, after a balcony collapsed during a party, leaving multiple teenagers injured. The shocking incident occurred on Saturday night, with paramedics treating several young people, including three females and a male, for minor back and leg injuries before taking them to hospital.

The Dramatic Story Unfolds

According to eyewitness Jackson Gaines, 19, from Bega, who attended the party, the event was being held at the beachside home on Elizabeth Street, Vincentia, southeast of Nowra. The party started on the rear balcony, where a DJ was playing dance music to around 40 revellers. The atmosphere was electric, with speakers and dancing, but little did the partygoers know that the balcony was creaking under the weight of the crowd.

The Moment of Chaos

“It sort of happened in slow motion,” Jackson recalled. “We were all jumping and… it sort of gave way. We all just went down. There were girls screaming and it was pretty hectic.”

The Aftermath

The property, listed on multiple holiday letting sites including AirBnB and Booking.com, prohibits parties, but that didn’t stop the group from letting loose. Now, the consequences are severe, with at least two attendees seeking medical treatment for leg and head injuries since Saturday.

Investigations Underway

Shoalhaven Council has declined to comment, while the property owner remains silent on the incident. For now, the focus is on providing support to those affected and ensuring the safety of future guests.
