Tammy also uses rental ratings as a way to determine which accommodations are decidedly a no-go. “In my experience, staying somewhere with less than four-and-a-half stars can be risky – especially if I’m booking a month-long stay,” she says. And don’t forget to check reviews to see if others have had issues with cleanliness, location, or outside noise.
Host Reviews Can Be a Deal-Breaker
“Reviews can also yield other red flags,” Tammy explains. “I find crowdsourced feedback sheds light on important items like cleanliness, rental location, and outside noise.” And if you’re booking a rental with no reviews or ratings, be sure to bookmark it and come back later to see if anyone has left a review.
