Airbnb Announces A ‘Gladiator Experience’ In The Colosseum
Get Ready for Battle
Airbnb has just announced a brand-new addition to its ‘icons’ collection, a series of iconic experiences from around the world. And, just in time for the release of Ridley Scott’s Gladiator II, this one is set in the actual Colosseum!
A Journey Through Time
Yes, you read that right! What you’ll be booking is not a stay – even though it’s through Airbnb – so sadly, no sleeping over amidst Rome’s world-famous ruins. However, what you will be getting up to is pretty darn cool. As part of the experience, guests will be greeted by the ‘master of ceremonies’ who will lead them through the Colosseum’s portal.
Prepare for Battle
Next, guests will choose their gladiator type, don their armor, and, after weaving through the torch-lit passageways of the arena, test their courage in an actual (very safe) showdown. Sounds like a laugh, eh?
